The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, VC-backed LegalTech business that is redefining how legal services are delivered across both private practice and in-house legal teams. Following strong product-market fit and increasing enterprise demand, the company is now looking for a commercially driven Sales Director to professionalise and scale the sales function. This is a pivotal leadership hire for the business — someone who can bring structure, process, forecasting discipline, and high-performance sales execution while remaining hands-on in winning strategic clients. The business already has a strong foundation, a differentiated product offering, and an established customer base across law firms and corporate legal departments. The next step is building a scalable revenue engine.

The Role

Reporting directly to the leadership team, the Sales Director will take ownership of the commercial function, leading and developing a small but growing team of three whilst driving new business growth across both legal practice and industry clients. This role requires a blend of strategic leadership and operational execution. The successful candidate will be expected to introduce best-in-class SaaS sales processes, improve pipeline management and forecasting, and help shape the go-to-market strategy as the business scales internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the existing sales team
  • Build a scalable and repeatable sales process across the full funnel
  • Introduce structure around forecasting, pipeline management, KPIs, and reporting
  • Drive new business acquisition across law firms and in-house legal teams
  • Develop enterprise sales capability and improve commercial maturity
  • Partner closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams
  • Refine segmentation, territory planning, and GTM strategy
  • Personally lead strategic and high-value commercial opportunities
  • Support hiring and scaling of the sales organisation over time
  • Help establish a high-performance, metrics-driven sales culture

Candidate Profile

We’re looking for a commercially credible sales leader who combines strong SaaS sales experience with the ability to build and professionalise growing teams. Ideal backgrounds include:

  • Experience within LegalTech, RegTech, ComplianceTech, or adjacent B2B SaaS sectors
  • Proven success selling into both law firms and corporate/in-house functions
  • Experience scaling sales teams within a high-growth or VC-backed environment
  • Strong understanding of sales operations, forecasting, and process optimisation
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically and tactically
  • Track record of delivering against ambitious revenue targets
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to shape and build the commercial function at a critical growth stage
  • Highly visible leadership role with direct impact on company trajectory
  • Backed by investors with ambitious scaling plans
  • Strong product-market fit in a rapidly evolving sector
  • Equity participation and genuine long-term growth opportunity
