Maintenance Electrician role at W Talent, Ilkeston, United Kingdom. Working with Johnsons Aggregates and Recycling Ltd on a night shift basis (Monday to Friday) at Crompton Rd, Ilkeston site DE7 4BG. The site operates an incinerator bottom ash (IBA) treatment plant with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and troubleshooting.
  • Support plant upgrades, shutdowns, and process improvements.
  • Assist with mechanical aspects of plant operations as required.
  • Perform regular planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and cleaning schedules.
  • Carry out plant upgrades and improvements during shutdown hours.
  • Provide electrical support to ensure the plant is ready for start-up each morning.
  • Work independently in a fast-moving environment under tight deadlines.
  • Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
  • Other reasonable duties aligned with company objectives.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified or experienced in electrical maintenance; located near Ilkeston.
  • Experience with Siemens and ABB Inverters, Siemens PLCs, 24V DC control circuits, emergency stop circuits, and 415V motors.
  • Confident in fault finding and reading electrical drawings and main plant control panels.
  • Apprentice trained; 2391 inspection and testing preferred but not essential; 17th edition wiring regulations required; 18th edition preferred.
