Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable web architectures (front-end, APIs, data layer) for investor portals and public marketing sites.
- Own application security: auth/authz, input validation, CSRF/XSS protection, secure session management, secrets handling.
- Harden cloud infrastructure (Azure), including IAM, network segmentation, WAF, encryption, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA) into the development lifecycle and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Review and refine AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability; set coding standards and patterns.
- Implement observability, logging, and incident response practices for production systems.
- Collaborate with Compliance/Risk on FCA, GDPR, SOC2 and similar requirements, translating them into technical controls.
Requirements
- 5+ years full‑stack web development experience, including production systems in financial services or similarly regulated domains.
- Strong experience with modern web stacks (e.g. React/Next.js + TypeScript; Node.js/Python/Java back-end; PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS).
- Deep understanding of web security (OWASP Top 10), secure coding practices, and cloud security on Azure or AWS.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and security tooling.
- Experience using AI coding assistants and the ability to critically review AI-generated code.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead architecture and security discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with private equity, asset management, or institutional investor platforms.
- Familiarity with data platforms (e.g. Snowflake) and integrating web apps with analytics/reporting systems.
- Security-related certifications (e.g. CISSP, OSCP, GIAC).
