The Opportunity

We're looking for a commercially minded Demand Planning & Analytics Manager who combines strong forecasting expertise with modern data analytics skills. This role sits at the intersection of supply chain planning, business intelligence, and data science. You'll be responsible for improving forecast accuracy, identifying demand trends, building analytical tools, and helping the business make smarter inventory and supply decisions. You'll work closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and senior leadership to transform data into actionable insights that improve service levels, inventory performance, and business outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both the operational side of demand planning and the technical challenge of working with data.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Demand Planning & Forecasting
    • Develop and maintain demand forecasts across product categories and customer channels.
    • Analyse historical sales, market trends, promotional activity, seasonality, and customer demand patterns.
    • Improve forecast accuracy through statistical and data-driven forecasting techniques.
    • Lead forecast review meetings with key stakeholders.
    • Monitor forecast performance and implement continuous improvements.
  • Data Analytics & Insights
    • Build dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that support planning and commercial decision-making.
    • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within sales, inventory, and operational data.
    • Conduct scenario modelling and demand sensitivity analysis.
    • Provide clear recommendations based on quantitative analysis.
    • Support business planning, budgeting, and S&OP processes.
  • Data & Systems Development
    • Extract, clean, and analyse data using SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Python.
    • Develop automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort.
    • Improve data quality and consistency across planning systems.
    • Support the development of forecasting models and predictive analytics capabilities.
    • Partner with technology teams to enhance planning and reporting platforms.

What We're Looking For

  • Essential
    • Proven experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting, or Inventory Planning.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Experience using SQL to interrogate and analyse data.
    • Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
    • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Experience working with large datasets and identifying actionable business insights.
  • Desirable
    • Python, R, or other analytical programming experience.
    • Exposure to statistical forecasting techniques.
    • Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics.
    • Knowledge of ERP, planning, or supply chain systems.
    • Experience supporting S&OP or Integrated Business Planning processes.
    • Background in FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Supply Chain environments.

Success in This Role

Within your first 12 months, you'll be expected to:

  • Deliver meaningful inventory and service-level improvements.
  • Build scalable reporting and planning dashboards.
