An established professional services firm with multiple offices across the Midlands is partnering with an agency to appoint a Digital Marketing Performance Manager as part of a growing in-house marketing function. The business is investing heavily in its digital capability and is looking for an experienced performance marketer to drive customer acquisition, engagement and revenue across paid and owned digital channels. This is a newly created role offering genuine scope to shape strategy, tools and ways of working.
The Digital Marketing Performance Manager will take end-to-end ownership of performance marketing activity, covering planning, execution and ongoing optimisation. Working closely with a retained digital agency and internal stakeholders, the role will lead campaigns across paid search, paid social, display and programmatic channels, while also overseeing website performance across a portfolio of group sites. Reporting to the senior marketing leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing marketing automation capability, introducing scalable, insight-led approaches supported by the right technology and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and optimise performance marketing campaigns across paid search, paid social, display, programmatic and retargeting
- Own website performance across multiple sites, including optimisation, UX improvements and content refresh
- Manage and forecast digital marketing budgets, ensuring efficient spend and strong ROI
- Analyse performance data and turn insight into clear, actionable recommendations
- Develop and test audience strategies, creative variants, landing pages and conversion journeys
- Work collaboratively with creative, content, web and analytics teams to improve conversion and user experience
- Manage relationships with media agencies, advertising platforms and technology partners
- Lead A/B testing across ads, landing pages and messaging
- Track market trends, platform developments and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Ensure robust tracking, attribution and reporting across all performance channels
- Present performance results, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Lead marketing automation initiatives, including CRM, analytics, campaign and workflow tools
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will bring proven experience in a digital performance or paid media role, with strong hands-on expertise across paid search, paid social, display and programmatic marketing. They will have experience improving website traffic and conversion performance, alongside a solid understanding of analytics, tracking and attribution. Exposure to implementing or leading marketing automation and martech solutions is highly desirable. Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with agencies and cross-functional teams are essential. This role would suit a proactive, detail-driven marketer with a passion for performance, testing and continuous improvement.
