W Talent is delighted to be partnering with a well-established waste management and resource recovery organisation operating the UK's largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). The business plays a vital role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfill and converting it into valuable energy resources.

Working closely with the management and engineering teams, you will plan, implement, and monitor systems and processes using industry best practice to maximise operational performance while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

As an impartial and analytical professional, you will be responsible for conducting transparent and objective investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing measures to prevent recurrence. You will also build and maintain strong working relationships across the site to support effective communication and collaboration.

In addition, you will ensure that all visitors and contractors are appropriately inducted into site safety requirements and emergency procedures, promoting a strong and proactive safety culture across the site.

Key Requirements
  • Proven supervisory or management experience.
  • Engineering qualification, ideally ONC/HNC or equivalent.
  • Health and safety qualification, preferably IOSH or NEBOSH certified.
  • Management or leadership qualification desirable, though not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of power industry, naval, or process systems, including HP steam, boilers, electrical generation, and emissions control.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and engaging team briefings.
  • Experience working with Safe Systems of Work, including safety documentation and operational safety procedures.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary of £65,362 plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • 40 hours per week on a rolling 24-hour, 7-day shift pattern, including nights.
