I am recruiting for a suitably experienced Financial Accountant with solid hands-on experience within an Operational Accounting role with experience running end-to-end month end.
This is a hybrid role, two days per week on-site near Cardiff.
Location: Near Cardiff - Hybrid - 2 days a week on-site
Salary: £65,000 + Benefits
Key skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- 3+ Years Industry experience
- Experience with Manufacturing Accounting beneficial
- Excellent Operational Accountancy skills
- Experience working within a large complex industry circa £500M+ revenue
- Process optimisation
Operational Accounting responsibilities including:
- Month End Close
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Journal Entries
- Perform analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet performance.
- Fixes Assets
- VAT & Tax Accounting
- Payroll Accounting
- AP & AR oversight
- Internal Controls
- Work closely with Tax, Treasury and Group Reporting teams.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
- Process improvement and automation, e.g. reducing month end from 8 days to 5 days.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel
