We're partnering with a global automotive manufacturing organization near Birmingham, Alabama, looking for an HR Recruiter to join their team!
This role will be recruiting-focused in the beginning, giving you the opportunity to learn the business, build relationships throughout the manufacturing operation, and become a trusted partner to hiring managers and HR leadership.
Over time, there is an opportunity to take on broader HR responsibilities and grow toward an HR leadership role.
We're looking for someone with a strong HR foundation and manufacturing experience who also enjoys recruiting and is comfortable being hands-on with Talent Acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full life cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to understand staffing needs and identify qualified candidates.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines and professional relationships.
- Use sourcing platforms and recruiting tools to identify and engage candidates.
- Represent the company at job fairs, employment conferences, university recruiting events, and through other recruiting channels.
- Facilitate reference checks, pre-employment screenings, and offer negotiations.
- Build strong working relationships with teams throughout the manufacturing operation, including production and quality.
- Serve as a recruiting partner and resource to hiring managers and HR.
- Track and work toward key recruiting metrics, including time to fill, quality of hire, offer acceptance, and diversity of final candidate slates.
- Learn the business and manufacturing operation with the opportunity to take on broader HR responsibilities over time.
Key Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
- HR and recruiting experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR regulations, including NLRB and EEOC.
- Hands-on experience using sourcing platforms such as Linked In Recruiter, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of hiring and staffing practices.
