Waste Operative

Location: Newport,Isle of Wight
Hours: 40 hours per week, starting at 6.30am. plus overtime when required
Days: Monday - Friday, weekend working may be required for overtime
Duration: immediate start, Temp to Perm
Duties:
Safely operate and drive recycling and waste collection vehicles within B licence category, full training will be provided. Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting in line with company and legal requirements Operate a Bartec tablet for route navigation, job logging, and reporting. Assist with loading and moving heavy bins as required Work effectively as part of a team to ensure collections are completed efficiently and to a high standard Ensuring full adherence to health and safety.
Experience:
Must have valid minimum driver\'s licence (Category B).
Experience in waste collection or similar outdoor working is required with strong teamworking skills and willingness to support operational tasks beyond driving Must be able to undertake manual handling duties.
Salary: £12.60 per hour worked, overtime paid at 1.33 weekdays, 1.5 weekends
