Duties:
- Working to traffic management plans and schedules in addition to highways and health and safety regulations
- Manual handling, loading and unloading vehicles
- Driving, delivery and collection of signs, lights and equipment
- Setting up of equipment and signs to instructions
- May be required to manually operate signs and lights
- Communication with supervisory staff, Highways Operatives and the public
Experience:
- Must be physically fit due to manual handling tasks
- Previous Highways experience and SWQR certification is an advantage but training can be provided
- Must have a full driver’s licence
- Must be able to work well to instructions and timescales, as part of a small team within a reactive environment
- Must be flexible and reliable with an awareness of health and safety
Salary: Dayshift: £12.71 per hour worked, rates increase after 12 weeks (nightshift paid at 1.33, overtime paid at 1.5)
