Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate operational teams across highways maintenance activities
- Manage programmes of work including grass cutting, tree maintenance, and weed control
- Oversee drainage, street cleansing, and winter maintenance operations
- Allocate resources and plan daily/weekly workloads
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution
- Monitor performance, productivity and safety standards
- Manage costs, order materials and oversee budget-related activities
- Liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery
- Carry out site visits and inspections as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within horticulture or grounds maintenance, including coordinating operational activities
- Experience in highways maintenance, drainage or street cleansing is an advantage
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Full driving licence required
Salary and Benefits
£31,000 - 37,000 per annum, dependent upon experience, plus £4,300 car allowance, plus call-out premium and overtime (paid at time and a third)
