Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 39 hours per week

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: Immediate start, ongoing (may be temp to perm for the right candidate)

Duties:

  • Vehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects
  • Safe operation of plant
  • Collection and delivery of materials, unloading vehicle including use of barrow, where needed
  • Tarmacking, kerbing, concreting and general groundwork, when required
  • Adherence to technical specifications, schedules, standards and health & safety

Experience:

  • Must have valid Category C Licence, CPC and commercial driving experience plus valid Lorry Mounted Crane ticket with Clamshell Grab/Bucket attachment
  • Previous experience within civil engineering, construction or highways industry is preferred
  • Must be flexible with duties and happy to undertake manual handling tasks
  • Must be physically fit due to nature of duties
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team as well as on own initiative and have a good awareness of health and safety
  • Please note at times there may be more time spent on manual duties than on driving duties

Salary: £13.85 per hour worked, overtime paid at 1.5 (when available) PAYE
