Hours: 40 hours per week (7.30/8am - 4.30/5pm)
Days: Monday - Friday
Duration: temporary ongoing (possibly permanent for the right candidate)
Duties:
- Driving set route to planned schedules at controlled speeds
- Vehicle checks and adherence to health and safety and highways regulations
- Assisting with taking measurements and images of defects
- May be required to undertake light maintenance tasks and temporary repairs
Experience:
- Must have a full driver's licence and a good knowledge of the Island road network
- Must be able to work well as part of a small team and be able to undertake light manual handling tasks
- This role has the potential to progress to a full-time Highways Inspection role for the right candidate; therefore, previous highways experience is an advantage
- A good level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new skills
Salary: £12.71 per hour plus, dependent upon experience
