Role Overview: Waiter/Waitress — W Lounge, W Edinburgh, 1 St James Square, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Position Type: Non‑Management. Schedule: Full Time. Location: on the 11th floor of W Edinburgh, open from 9 am until late. This is a fixed‑term role, expected to end September 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Have a detailed knowledge of the food and beverage on offer at W Lounge.
- Be proactive in learning about the menus and the culture of the places they have been inspired by.
- Take food and drink orders and answer any questions about menu selection, preparation, modifications, and allergens.
- Ensure guests enjoy their time, checking back for satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding questions, length of wait, product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass and silver throughout the day.
- Restock items as needed.
- Present physically and accurately the check to guests and process payments.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and report accidents and injuries.
- Work as a team with the rest of the W Lounge team, supporting wherever necessary as directed by the manager.
