W H Leary Ltd is looking for a Business Development Manager to develop sales of Robatech adhesive application systems across the North of England. This is a genuine business development role. The opportunity is to help build Robatech’s presence across an important manufacturing region, identify new customers, create new opportunities and win profitable new business.
W H Leary Ltd is a specialist supplier of adhesive application, quality assurance and production monitoring solutions for packaging and manufacturing businesses. We are the exclusive distribution partner for Robatech Gluing Solutions, a globally recognised manufacturer of high-quality adhesive application systems used by manufacturers around the world to apply hot melt and cold glue accurately, efficiently and reliably in demanding production environments. Our customers operate in sectors such as packaging, converting, print, food and beverage, e-commerce, consumer goods and general manufacturing. We help them improve production performance, reduce waste, increase reliability and solve real production problems.
You will be selling high-quality technical systems that matter to customers who depend on reliable, efficient production. As Business Development Manager – Robatech North, your main responsibility will be to identify, develop and win new customers across the North of England. That means researching potential customers, identifying decision-makers, planning your sales activity, developing opportunities, using CRM properly and managing a disciplined sales process from first contact through to order.
This role will suit someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and developing new business in technical B2B markets:
- Building a strong target account list and territory development plan.
- Creating new sales opportunities through proactive business development.
- Managing opportunities through a structured sales process.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, including accounts, contacts, opportunities, actions and forecasts.
- Planning customer visits and follow-up activity efficiently.
- Working closely with internal sales, service and technical colleagues.
- Gathering useful market and competitor intelligence.
- Contributing to sales meetings, forecasts and business reviews.
We are looking for a professional B2B salesperson with a strong business development mindset:
- Experience in B2B field sales, technical sales or business development.
- A track record of winning new business.
- Strong planning, organisation and self-management.
- Good commercial judgement.
- Experience using CRM properly to manage activity, pipeline and forecasting.
- A professional, structured approach to sales.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the North of England.
Experience in packaging, converting, print, manufacturing, adhesives, automation, machinery or engineered products would be useful, but direct experience with adhesive application systems is not essential. Product and application training will be provided. You should enjoy meeting customers, understanding how their businesses work and finding ways to solve production problems. This is a role for someone who wants to build a territory, develop a market and make a visible commercial impact.
This is an opportunity to join a specialist business with ambitious growth plans, a strong technical product range and the backing of a respected global adhesive systems manufacturer:
- Build and develop an important sales territory.
- Sell high-quality Robatech technology into real manufacturing applications.
- Work with customers where reliability, efficiency and production performance matter.
- Be supported by experienced technical, service and commercial colleagues.
- Be part of a business that values long-term relationships with customers and employees.
- Develop your knowledge of adhesive application, packaging and manufacturing markets.
- Grow with the business as we continue to develop our sales presence and market opportunities.
