As well as gaining tool knowledge, the role encompasses all elements of administration including raising job cards, delivery notes and invoices. This role relies strongly on being organised and meticulous.

We are a family run engineering company and have been in business for over 60 years. As well as supplying torque tools, we offer bespoke tooling and have the capability of manufacturing everything in house which means we have full control over everything we produce. Although we are a small company, we have high end customers who expect a high level of service. We have built up a great reputation and are proud of what we have achieved.

The role includes:

  • Speaking with customers on a technical level to offer suitable hire tools.
  • Raising advice notes.
  • Liaising with couriers and hauliers to organise collection and return delivery of tools.
  • Costing repairs and producing quotations.
  • Producing calibration certificates.
  • Producing month end hire invoices.
  • General administrative duties.

The candidate should have:

  • An engineering background would be advantageous.
  • Be prepared to gain full product knowledge.
  • Meticulous organising and scheduling of daily tasks.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Document management and control with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake other administrative tasks if needed.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and calm approach when dealing with customers.
  • A hands on, sleeves rolled up attitude to getting the job done.

Company benefits include:

  • Free on site car parking.
  • 34 days holiday per calendar year, including bank holidays.
  • Further annual leave days accrued at 1 day every 2 years with a cap at 5 days for 10 years service.
  • Company closure between Christmas and New Year.
  • 4pm finish on Fridays.
  • Full training provided.

We are a small, successful engineering company whose culture is built on communication, teamwork and the ability to react to company and customer demands. This position necessitates a full-time (5 days a week) on-site presence to fully participate in our collaborative environment.
