Our client is a small, expanding freight forwarding company specializing in the niche fine art shipping industry. They have an exciting new role available for an experienced air export professional to join their expanding team.
Candidates must have previous air export knowledge, operations, and Customs experience. This is an opportunity to be involved in an expanding business as a key member of the team. A driving license and own transport are required, along with previous experience in export air freight forwarding. Exceptional English communication and customer service skills are essential. There is also an opportunity to develop business, and any previous knowledge of the high-value art shipping industry is a bonus, but not required. Essentially, we are looking for a strong air export operator.
Skills Required for the Export Clerk- Previous air export operations & Customs knowledge
- Able to cut and rate Master/House waybills
- Knowledge of Customs entries and various Customs systems (CDS)
- Experience of shipping fine arts & high-value goods advantageous
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential
- Broad scope of completing air export shipments from start to finish
- Using CargoWise (previous experience advantageous but not essential)
- M-F 9am-5:30pm
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Hybrid working available post-probation
- Car driver/own transport for commuting
- Paid overtime available remotely
- £30-35k DOE & Negotiable
