Vypr is a Manchester HQ'd Private Equity/Venture Capital backed SaaS business. Our market‑leading product intelligence platform provides reliable consumer data to help manufacturers and retailers understand what their customers want to see on shelves. This helps reduce the time and cost spent developing new products, which makes for better products, faster. We’re a scale‑up business with huge growth ambitions. We’ve proved product market fit with our existing offering and now we’re ready to scale at pace. We’re using scalable new technology to reimagine our product intelligence platform with limitless future potential, from personalisation to AI‑enhanced insight.

Our cross‑functional, agile product team brings together content and interaction designers, product managers, delivery and engineering to solve valuable business problems and deliver against Vypr’s product roadmap.

This is an exciting new role in our team that will act as the bridge between an immediate business or customer problem and a product solution. We’re looking for someone curious, with a problem‑solving mindset who is excited to take a hands‑on role. You’ll be using agentic AI platforms (Claude Code, Lovable, n8n) to build and ship functional software at 10x the traditional speed. If you don’t already have the skills or you haven’t already used a tool, we’ll expect you to learn it.

The role will involve working on both internal‑facing products that will help our colleagues work smarter and customer‑facing products that will help our customers get more value out of the Vypr platform. This means you’ll have a great mix of self‑directed projects where you can experiment with new tech personally, and the opportunity to work as part of a larger, multi‑disciplinary team and learn from colleagues with different skills and background. Longer term, it will be part of your role to stay at the forefront of advances in technology that Vypr could capitalise on in the future.

What You Will Do

  • Horizon scanning for new AI opportunities in the tech‑enabled research space.
  • Manage a pipeline of AI opportunities from early idea exploration through to integration, with clear milestones and KPIs to guide decision‑making and customer roadmap prioritisation.
  • Identify off‑the‑shelf tools and models that can be used to solve customer or internal business problems.
  • Run experiments, build prototypes and trial AI tooling to understand capabilities, opportunities and risks (including costs, integration and scalability concerns) for both internal and external projects.
  • Train and monitor/optimise models to ensure they are as accurate as possible to ensure the highest quality customer experience is maintained.
  • Develop E2E processes and agentic workflows for building AI into existing Vypr processes and do manual work required to prove feasibility and value.
  • Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary agile team to integrate AI solutions into Vypr Predict.
  • Keep the wider company abreast of advances in AI and competitive landscape.
  • Develop internal tools and skillsets that take advantage of new technology to help us all move faster.

What Experience You'll Bring

  • (Must) You have experimented with AI tools and have a demonstrable interest in this area.
  • (Must) You have developed and refined prompts for AI systems to achieve desired outputs.
  • (Must) You have hands‑on experience working with and training commoditised ML models.
  • (Desired) You have worked in an agile product team.
  • (Desired) You have worked with developers to scope, refine and understand the feasibility of your work.
  • (Desired) design qualifications or portfolio.
  • (Desired) engineering qualifications or background.
  • (Desired) SaaS or B2B experience.

Who You Are

  • Insatiably Curious: The world is constantly changing and you like to stay ahead of the curve. You are an early adopter and the first person your friends and family go to for new technology recommendations or ‘IT Support’. You aren’t happy just reading about something, you want to get hands‑on and see what you can do.
  • A Clear Communicator: You can work effectively with people from other disciplines, know what level to pitch a conversation at, and have a way of making things sound simpler than they actually are. You appreciate the importance of asking questions to clarify your understanding and can speak confidently about your approach and decisions. You’re equally as confident in your written communication and understand the value of good documentation.
  • Collaborative: You move between individual focussed work and group collaboration easily. You have a good instinct for when to partner with other team members and canvassing for feedback and critique is a key part of how you work. Conversing with different disciplines is comfortable and you will be just as happy working with a member of the sales team as you would another designer. You know that building strong relationships with other colleagues is crucial to you understanding problems and being able to distil them down into design solutions that are useful and easily understood.
  • Flexible: You flex your approach depending on where you are in the product development process. If you’re navigating ambiguity you know what to do to create clarity for yourself and your team members. If you’re working through something that’s already well defined you appreciate the value of a clear goal and focus on how to deliver to it. Importantly, you know we have big growth ambitions and you can balance quality with speed of shipping, identifying when to make compromises and when to be steadfast.
  • A Problem Solver: You enjoy picking apart a problem and using evidence to help you solve it. Whether it’s data, or desk user research you look for information to help you make good decisions. You know there are always 100+ different ways to solve a user need and you demonstrate good judgement zeroing in on solutions that do this well and align back to the product goals.
