This helps reduce the time and cost spent developing new products, which makes for better products, faster. We’re a scale‑up business with huge growth ambitions. We’ve proved product‑market fit with our existing offering and now we’re ready to scale at pace. We’re using scalable new technology to reimagine our product intelligence platform with limitless future potential, from personalisation to AI‑enhanced insight. Our cross‑functional, agile product team brings together content and product designers, delivery managers, engineers and product managers to solve valuable business problems and deliver against Vypr’s product roadmap.
Product Design at Vypr
This will be our fifth design hire overall and our second content designer. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, leading content design and strategy across our platform, app, and marketing. You won’t be joining a large team of content designers, but you will be joining a team that values and understands how important content design is. You won’t have to justify the importance of it, you can just do it.
About The Role
You’ll work with colleagues across Vypr to understand and solve valuable customer problems taking a user‑centered approach. The work will be varied, you’ll be tackling new feature design, discovering new customer needs, defining content design standards and patterns, collaborating with experts to write long‑form content, and exploring how to help customers solve problems using AI. Please note this is a design role based in Vypr’s Product team, not a marketing role.
About You
- Clear communicator: In your written work and in your conversations you know that asking questions to clarify your understanding is important and you can speak confidently about your approach and decisions, pitching at the correct level of detail depending on context and who you are working with.
- Collaborative: You move between individual focussed work and group collaboration easily. You have a good instinct for when to partner with other team members and canvassing for feedback and critique is a key part of how you work. Conversing with different disciplines is comfortable and you will be just as happy working with a member of the sales team as you would another designer. You know that building strong relationships with other colleagues is crucial to understanding problems and distilling them into useful content.
- Flexible: You flex your approach depending on where you are in the product development process. You know how to break down complex problems using maps, flows, prototypes, wireframes, written documents or quick sketches to increase your understanding and make progress. If you’re navigating ambiguity you know what to do to create clarity for yourself and your team members.
- Pragmatic: You understand we have big growth ambitions and can balance quality with speed of shipping. You consider context and practical implications when making decisions and can identify when to compromise and when to be steadfast in your approach.
- Problem solver: You enjoy breaking down problems and using evidence to find effective solutions. Whether it’s data or user research, you seek out information that helps you make well‑informed decisions. You understand there are always countless ways to meet a user need and show good judgment by focusing on ideas that do this effectively while aligning with product goals.
- Organised: You understand that turning an idea into a feature in a multi‑disciplinary team involves many steps, so you take a methodical and detail‑oriented approach. You carefully track your decisions, document the rules and patterns you establish, and recognise that managing your content is just as important as creating it.
Things that you will do
