About Us
We’re a Top 100, full-service UK law firm with approaching 600 employees. With 4 offices in London, Watford, Bristol and Birmingham, you’ll be struck by our close-knit and friendly culture. We believe in integrity and authenticity - in each one of us being ourselves both in our interactions with each other as well as with our clients. With a reputation not just for the quality of our work, but also for the qualities of our people, we strive to recruit individuals who are proactive and passionate about what they do and able to demonstrate humour and humility in equal measure.
The role
As a result of succession planning, we are looking for a lawyer with strong experience in partnerships work, first and foremost on the corporate transactional side with additional exposure to partnerships disputes work being desirable but not essential. Our reputation in this area is second to none, with our medical Partnerships work ranked as top tier, nationwide in Chambers and Partners UK (2025).
On a day to day basis, you’ll enjoy working for a range of partnership clients, many of which lie within the professional services arena as well as within the health and education sectors. You’ll relish the chance to build on the strong relationships we already have in place with a number of partners from GP practices, accountancy firms, property consultancies and other professional partnerships where changes in the life of their practice require a skilled lawyer to carefully reflect the changes in law. Within your role you’ll enjoy working collaboratively with a dedicated team of corporate lawyers, as well as with colleagues from our Chambers acclaimed education and healthcare teams.
About You
As many of these matters are transactional in nature, you’re likely to be an experienced corporate lawyer, most likely working with a regional, national firm or corporate boutique. You’ll need to demonstrate sufficient understanding of the litigation landscape to facilitate referrals to your colleagues and the emotional intelligence to provide your commercial solutions to clients, with the empathy and understanding that ensures so many of our clients remain loyal to VWV.
You’ve likely reached a stage in your career where you’re seeking something more… perhaps a change in culture - so many lawyers join us in search of an environment that is warm, transparent and where flexibility is part of our DNA. It could be that you’ve hit a glass ceiling in your current practice and are seeking a more significant role with greater responsibility. Here at VWV, we can offer you a supportive environment in which to reach your potential.

In this way, you’ll benefit first-hand from our warm and friendly culture as well as facilitate cross referral opportunities from your colleagues in other teams. We are of course happy to discuss any specific requirements of hybrid working with candidates on an individual basis.
