About Us
You probably know that we’re a full-service Top 100 UK law firm with 4 offices in Bristol, Birmingham, London and Watford. We’re renowned for our sector strengths in education, technology, healthcare and charities. However, here at VWV, it’s what you don’t know about us that really makes us interesting.
Many firms of our standing can feel proud of the quality of their work, but here at VWV, we place equal emphasis on the qualities of our people. We strive to recruit individuals who are proactive and passionate about what they do and able to demonstrate humour and humility in equal measure. We also believe in integrity and authenticity - in each one of us being ourselves both in our interactions with each other as well as with our clients. In this way, we can be proud of the warm, open and professional culture we’ve created and hope that on joining us you too feel part of something special.
About You
You’re an experienced lawyer with a broad platform of ETT work under your belt, including high net worth private wealth work. As a lawyer working at the top of their game, you’re organised in your approach to business development and are excited about the opportunity to join a Partnership where openness and collaboration are part of our DNA. Here at VWV, we recognise that everyone is different and your career journey is unique to you; whether you’re working for a small boutique, regional or international firm, if you’re passionate about private client and commercial in your approach, then we’d love to hear from you.
About Our ETT Team
Led by our Legal 500, Chambers and Partners and Spears acclaimed Partner, Michelle Rose, our team operates out of all four locations. It’s a testament to the strength and depth of the team that they are Legal 500 rated across all four of our geographical locations, a result that speaks to the expertise of our lawyers and to our culture of collaboration; our clients know that they will receive the same high quality of service regardless of where they live.
Our Opportunities
We currently have up to 3 new roles for highly experienced lawyers either working at or looking for Partnership. For each role, we anticipate you’ll be a very competent fee earner with a proven track record in a broad array of private wealth work and a strong foundation in areas such as estates administration, trusts and succession planning. However, we recognise you’re likely to feel more comfortable in one or two of these areas than others and that’s fine; we can be flexible for the right candidate. It’s true to say that for each of these roles, we hope you will join the VWV family with the excitement, passion for your subject and solution-focused approach that all of our lawyers display.
- Bristol - Partner: As the most urgent of our roles, we’re looking for a Partner with a passion for a broad array of ETT work including high net worth private wealth work. You’ll play a key role in managing workflow, delegating and helping to supervise and nurture the less experienced lawyers in our close knit team.
- Birmingham - Partner: Our Birmingham offering is set for exciting growth and as such we’re looking for an experienced Partner with real gravitas to lead our team. Given the level of your experience, we anticipate you may have a local network of referral sources and clients, that would be of particular value for this role.
- Watford - Partner: An opportunity has arisen for a Partner to join our small team of ETT experts. With a broad range of work on offer, including estates administration, this is an exciting chance for a positive and proactive individual to lead and develop our team.
