At VWV, we know that great client service starts with great teamwork. That's why we're looking for a Legal Secretary (full or part time) to join our Residential Property team in London– someone who's organised, proactive and enjoys being at the heart of a busy team.
Whether you're preparing documents, supporting property transactions or helping colleagues stay organised, you'll play an important role in making sure everything runs smoothly for both our clients and our lawyers.
If you're someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing high-quality work and loves being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
Is This Your Next Career Move?
As a Legal Secretary, you'll provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to our Residential Property team, helping transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
You'll work closely with our lawyers and wider business support teams, becoming a trusted part of the department and helping to keep everything running efficiently behind the scenes.
No two days are the same. One day you might be preparing documents for a property completion, the next you'll be liaising with the Land Registry, organising diaries, helping with client enquiries or supporting the team with financial administration.
Day to day, you'll:
- Support residential property transactions by preparing documents, opening new matters and helping keep cases progressing smoothly.
- Produce accurate correspondence, reports and legal documents while managing electronic files and records.
- Liaise with clients, colleagues, the Land Registry and other external organisations.
- Help coordinate diaries, meetings, billing and other administrative tasks that keep the team running efficiently.
- Carry out Land Registry searches, obtain property searches and support post-completion administration.
- Work closely with colleagues across the team, providing flexible support whenever it's needed.
Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?
We're looking for someone who enjoys being organised, loves working as part of a team and takes real pride in delivering an excellent service.
You’ll be someone who can juggle a busy workload, communicate confidently with colleagues and clients, and remain calm and professional even when things get busy.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Previous Legal Secretary or PA experience, ideally within Residential Property or Conveyancing.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Outlook and other IT systems.
- Experience using the Land Registry Portal and search providers such as Searchflow or Search Acumen.
- A positive, flexible approach and a willingness to support colleagues wherever needed.
Experience using systems such as LexisOne, Intapp Open, BigHand, iManage or other legal case management systems would be an advantage, but don't worry if you haven't used them before—we'll support you with training.
Above all, we're looking for someone who's approachable, dependable and enjoys being part of a friendly team where everyone works together to provide an excellent service.
