This role executes day‑to‑day laboratory operations and supports objectives at customer facilities. Responsibilities focus on minimizing workflow interruptions and maintaining safe, efficient lab environments. The Technician will manage chemicals, materials, and inventory that support critical research activities.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting daily laboratory operations through effective material and stock management
  • Managing inventory and ensuring availability of chemicals and consumables
  • Handling deliveries, including temperature‑sensitive materials
  • Monitoring stock levels, expiry dates, and ensuring proper stock rotation
  • Supporting safe waste management processes
  • Maintaining clean, organized lab and storage areas
  • Collaborating with lab teams to understand and respond to operational needs
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with PPE, safety station checks, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a laboratory or similar environment
  • Basic knowledge of chemical handling or inventory systems (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer‑service mindset
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
  • Proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work
  • A scientific degree or relevant qualifications
  • Experience with laboratory inventory systems or stock management
