VWJ Earthmoving & Aggregates is looking for a reliable Class 2 HGV drivers to operate 8-wheel tippers from our base in Crewe.
This is a permanent, full-time position paying £15.75 per hour, with a minimum of 40 paid hours guaranteed each week and weekly pay. Additional weekday hours and occasional Saturdays will be required according to workload. Working hours generally fall between 5:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. All vehicles are day cabs, so there are no nights out.
Duties include transporting clay, subsoils, aggregates and topsoil; delivering to construction, housebuilding and agricultural sites; completing delivery paperwork; carrying out daily vehicle checks; reporting defects; and keeping the vehicle clean.
Applicants must hold a valid Category C licence, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card, with at least two years’ HGV driving experience. Previous 8-wheel tipper experience is preferred, although training may be provided to the right candidate. Applicants must have no more than six current penalty points, no drink-driving or drug-driving offences, and their own HGV sat-nav or suitable app.
