About The Role

Location: Milton Keynes
Hybrid Working: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

We’re looking for a Delivery Planning Lead to support enterprise wide change by building confidence in product and project delivery, helping our business to understand and trust various delivery frameworks and new ways of working. In this influencing role you’ll use your leadership skills to overcome cultural and behavioural resistance, supporting teams and leaders to adopt an agile mindset and embrace new practices through coaching and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring:
- You’ll be experienced in applying Lean Portfolio Management principles, Product and Project delivery and applying agile principles at scale. This includes road mapping, prioritisation and budgeting to support effective programme delivery and quarterly planning rounds.
- You’ll have a passion for continuous improvement and agile change delivery and, you have been leading and working across multiple teams in large projects and transformations.
Essential experience & skills:
- You’ll have relevant agile certifications, such as Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or Agile Programme/Delivery Management.
- Demonstrable hands‑on servant leadership experience, enabling teams and influencing without reliance on command‑and‑control approaches.
- A deep knowledge of lean‑agile frameworks and practical experience coaching teams and leaders in their application.
- You embody agile values and principles, modelling behaviours that promote collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement.
- Builds strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, demonstrating integrity, trust and effective collaboration.
- Practises servant leadership, enabling teams and influencing without reliance on command‑and‑control approaches.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, able to shape decisions and gain buy‑in across the organisation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and accessibly to all audiences.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capability, able to translate strategy into practical, delivery‑focused solutions.
- Solid understanding of agile funding models and value‑based delivery, including how work flows across cross‑functional teams rather than traditional project structures.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll promote a coaching culture across the enterprise, developing delivery teams in lean‑agile practices, coaching leaders, Product Owners and Scrum Teams to drive and enable sustained cultural and behavioural change.
- Manage the quarterly planning cycle, aligning Business and IT/Customer & Product Transformation (C&PT), and execution of programme‑level ceremonies that support predictable delivery of outcomes; including Scrum of Scrums.
- Supporting our Ways of Working function to evolve and embed enterprise‑wide ways of working that improve consistency, flow and delivery performance.
- You’ll model and promote agile servant leadership, fostering collaboration across change programmes and applying systems thinking and lean‑agile values in programme‑level planning, estimation and decision‑making.
- Lead programme execution and reporting, progress tracking, driving continuous improvement, ensuring visibility of delivery status.
- Identify and escalate critical delivery bottlenecks, providing insight to support effective resource planning and prioritisation.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, ensuring new software and business initiatives align with Enterprise Strategy and are integrated effectively into delivery plans.
- You’ll manage programme‑level risks, issues, dependencies and impediments for timely resolution and transparency across teams and stakeholders.
- Optimise flow of value through programme and release planning, supporting teams to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Monitor delivery of features and capabilities, ensuring teams have the information and clarity needed to focus on the highest‑priority roadmap items.
