Location: Milton Keynes
Hybrid Working: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office; however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.
Hours / Contract type: Full time fixed term contract until 1/7/2027

We’re looking for an Insurance Business Manager who will take responsibility for the management and performance of our insurance products. VWFS offers a wide range of products including insurance and warranty. In this high paced, technical role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our products are performing well, while also being compliant.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll use your technical expertise to provide insight and support to colleagues as the product SME.
- Relationship management of 3rd‑party suppliers; you’ll conduct performance reviews and be the main point of contact.
- Ensure appropriate contracts are in place with suppliers, and work with Legal to create new contracts, amendments and renewals.
- You’ll lead product review meetings, ensure products remain compliant, participate in internal committees, procedure reviews and audit participation.
- Be responsible for reporting and forecasting, reviewing MI accuracy and measuring performance against plan.
- Lead on our planning round and reforecasting and reconcile income.
- Ensure excellent quality for our customers through regular call listening, claim and complaint reviews.
- Support the product Channel Manager to deliver change to existing products and be involved in project work for new initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- You’ll be an experienced Insurance Business Manager with an excellent working knowledge of the insurance industry gained through a variety of technical, development and operational roles.
- You’ll have strong leadership skills that enable you to engage, motivate, develop and inspire suppliers to perform at their best.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience of supplier management, dealing with contracts, management information analysis, forecasting, drafting procedures and delivering business updates to senior management.
- ACII qualified or progressing towards this qualification.
- Commercial awareness and knowledge of compliance requirements including Consumer Duty and GDPR.
- Excellent communication skills tailored to all audiences.
- Impactful influencer and negotiator with good problem‑solving skills.
- Confidence with Excel, PowerPoint and Word at a minimum intermediate level.

- Bonus: Discretionary 10% on‑target bonus (based on personal and group company performance).
- Pension: Employer contribution of 9% (based on employee contribution of 3%). VWFS will pay 6% if employee chooses a 2% employee contribution.
