The Client
One of VWA's clients in the education sector are looking for a temporary Recruitment & Onboarding Assistant to start asap and support until the beginning of September 2026. There is the potential for this role to become permanent, but this is not guaranteed. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with some existing administrative experience looking to get into a career within HR!
The Role
- Supporting the recruitment and onboarding officer with the recruitment process and admin
- Act as the first point of contact for candidate queries during recruitment
- Support interview coordination, including scheduling and candidate communication
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and assist with onboarding tasks
- Provide general HR administrative support, including updating systems and handling queries
- Assist with reporting, data entry, and learning & development administration
The successful Recruitment & Onboarding Assistant will:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Experience in HR or recruitment is desirable, or a genuine interest in starting a career in HR
- Great interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate effectively with staff, applicants, and new starters
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
- Be immediately available and able to commit to a temp role until the start of September
- A CIPD level 3 or be in the process of completing this is desirable
