About the Client:
Based in Manchester, our client is a world-leading centre of excellence in scientific research and provide basic, translational and clinical research programmes.

About the Personal Assistant role:
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Institute Director where you will lead on the delivery and operational management of the office and will work proactively and flexibly in response to changings demands and priorities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Complex diary management, ensuring optimal alignment on all priorities and commitments.
• Coordinate meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the Director is prepared for all meetings and events by providing all documentation and briefings etc.
• Proactively manage the Directors email inbox, ensuring timely responses, appropriate delegation and prioritisation of critical communications.
• Acting as a \’gatekeeper\’ in communications.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required.

Candidate Specification:

• Strong experience as a Personal Assistant in a 1:1 capacity.
• Experience working within an academic, clinical or scientific environment is desirable.
• Confident in managing complex diaries and travel.
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to manage changing priorities with confidence.
• Thrive in a busy environment.

Additional Information:

• Salary up to £50k depending on experience.
• Core hours at 9am – 5:30pm.
• Fully office-based.
