A private equity firm based in the heart of the West End. Headcount in London is just under 100, with a highly collaborative, friendly and international work environment. This is a busy office and Receptionist role, so the successful person will be enthusiastic, proactive and able to act as the office lynchpin!

The Receptionist Role:

  • Meeting and greeting all visitors, confirming the purpose of each visit, escorting guests to their meeting room and offering refreshments
  • Managing bookings and diaries across all seven meeting rooms, resolving conflicts, and making sure rooms are clean, tidy and properly prepared ahead of meetings
  • Issuing and managing passes for new joiners and leavers via their in-house system and keeping track of spare and lost passes
  • Processing and uploading supplier invoices and maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinating day-to-day supplier relationships, including the weekly team lunch catering, recycling, printer servicing and other office equipment
  • Managing the relationship with the office cleaner, monitoring standards, and keeping cleaning supplies stocked
  • Keeping the kitchen areas across both floors stocked and presentable
  • Ad hoc duties – this is a role that keeps you on your feet and thinking quickly, plus reporting and following up on maintenance issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a professional, friendly and approachable manner
  • Ideally, some prior corporate office experience in a front of hours capacity however adjacent customer-facing experience will be considered (e.g. Cabin Crew, high-end hospitality)
  • Proactive, adaptable and high energy – able to identify what needs doing without always waiting for direction
  • Strong organisational skills, particularly around diary and meeting-room management, and comfortable with basic administrative/financial-processing tasks
  • Confident communicating with senior stakeholders, visitors, suppliers and contractors
  • Reliable and discreet, with strong ownership and follow-through
  • Lovely Receptionist opportunity to join a genuinely friendly team!
  • Core hours 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Able to commit to the late October/early November start for a full month of handover training – please note December is a key period for the business, so this would not suit someone with significant time off already booked over the festive period
  • Salary up to c.35K depending on experience
