Our client is a growing international executive search business. As the company continues to expand, they are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function in their London office. This is a standalone finance position, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy and likes to take responsibility from end to end. The role is highly operational and hands-on, requiring someone who is equally comfortable managing day-to-day finance activity as they are improving processes and supporting wider business decisions. This would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and thrives in a role where no two days look the same.

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all financial operations while developing processes and systems that support continued growth. Responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of the day-to-day finance function across the business
  • Managing the complete accounting cycle including payables, receivables, payroll, reconciliations and month-end close processes
  • Preparing management accounts and producing clear reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Monitoring cash flow, managing debtor balances and overseeing credit control activity
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
  • Producing analysis and commercial insight to support business performance and decision-making
  • Reviewing and strengthening existing finance processes and controls
  • Driving efficiencies through automation and technology improvements where possible
  • Acting as the key contact for auditors, banks, external accountants and advisors
  • Maintaining oversight of contracts, compliance and financial administration requirements
  • Supporting additional projects and operational initiatives as required

About You:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong previous experience within a Finance Manager or senior finance position
  • Comfortable operating within a standalone role and taking ownership independently
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to be involved in both strategic and operational finance activities
  • Experience within a growing or fast-moving business environment would be beneficial
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities
  • Experience improving finance processes and introducing structure and efficiencies
  • Exposure to Xero or similar accounting systems would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised and adaptable approach

If you are looking for a broad, hands-on finance role with real ownership and the opportunity to make a visible impact within a growing business, apply today.
