Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a well-established early years setting in Barking. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and confident leader who is committed to delivering outstanding childcare and education.


About the Role:


As Nursery Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery and ensure high standards of care, education, and compliance. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, manage operational and financial performance, and build strong relationships with families and the wider community.


Key responsibilities include:


• Ensuring the delivery of a rich, engaging curriculum that supports children’s learning and development

• Leading and supporting staff, including recruitment, supervision, and professional development

• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment

• Managing nursery budgets, staffing, health and safety, and regulatory requirements

• Building strong partnerships with parents and carers

About You:


To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification

• Previous experience in a nursery management or senior leadership role

• Strong team leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop others

• A sound understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and health & safety regulations

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• The right to work in the UK
