The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 € per year.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out surveys of the existing sprinkler system, clarify proposed scope works as achievable (from a compliance and a buildability perspective), identify additional non‑compliances, and potentially carry out design work. Subsequently plan/organise the required sprinkler system alterations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site surveys of the existing sprinkler system and mark up red line drawings / record changes required.
  • Review proposed scope of works from a compliance and buildability perspective (i.e. scope of works generated by others will specify relocate 4 no. sprinkler heads. Confirm that this work is possible, and that it is the correct scope of work to resolve the identified non‑compliance).
  • Identify and report any other non‑compliances on the sprinkler system while carrying out site surveys.
  • Report findings to the Contractors Responsible Engineer to determine next steps required for each scope of works task.

Required Qualifications and Professional Body Memberships

  • CSCS Card
  • LPCB Basic Sprinkler Design Competency
  • BAFSA/ABBE Level 2 Certificate in Fire Sprinkler Installation (Commercial or Commercial & Residential)
  • BAFSA/ABBE Level 3 Award in Inspection & Commissioning of Commercial Fire Sprinkler Systems
  • BAFSA/ABBE Level 5 Diploma in System Classification and Design of Pre‑Calculated Commercial Fire Sprinkler Systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Sentinel Card
  • CITB SSSTS/SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering / General Engineering or similar
  • Professional membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. The Institution of Fire Engineers, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Association of Project Management or professional registration with the engineering council (EngTech, IEng or CEng))
