The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering provides comprehensive turn‑key services for London’s state‑of‑the‑art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. About The Role
The Telehandler Operator will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of the site telehandler across the HS2 Old Oak Common Project. This includes handling materials, supporting logistics operations, assisting lifting activities, and ensuring the plant is operated in compliance with HS2 rules, site procedures, and all relevant plant operating legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers and forklifts safely in accordance with CPCS standards.
- Carry out loading, unloading, transportation, and distribution of materials across site.
- Support warehouse movements, module positioning, and inbound/outbound deliveries.
- Complete daily checks, pre‑use inspections, and report plant defects immediately.
- Ensure compliance with PUWER, HS2 plant standards, and site traffic rules.
- Maintain exclusion zones and follow all plant operator safety protocols.
- Liaise with logistics supervisors, slingers, banksmen, and site teams for coordinated movements.
- Respond quickly and professionally to material movement requests.
- Maintain radio communication and follow instructions accurately.
- Assist with module handling, warehouse operations, and external storage logistics.
- Support lifting operations where telehandler use is required (jibs, forks, attachments).
- Assist with general site logistics when plant is not in operation.
- Maintain plant cleanliness and ensure machine is secured at end of shift.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure fuel, battery charging, and safe parking procedures are followed.
