  • Lifting Supervision & Execution
    • Act as Lifting Supervisor where required, overseeing day-to-day lifting activities.
    • Brief all personnel involved in lifting operations and ensure adherence to safe systems of work.
    • Manage complex or critical lifts (confined area lifts, heavy/oversized loads).
  • Team Coordination & Leadership
    • Coordinate Crane Operators, Slinger/Signallers, Banksmen, and lifting teams.
    • Ensure lifting personnel are competent, briefed, and working to the correct procedures.
    • Maintain high levels of communication between site teams and subcontractors.
  • Equipment & Plant Coordination
    • Ensure cranes, lifting accessories, telehandlers, forklifts, MEWPs, and ancillary plant are certified, inspected, and fit for use.
    • Verify certification (Thorough Examinations, LOLER inspections, Safe Working Loads).
  • Site Assessments & Safety Compliance
    • Conduct site surveys to identify hazards, ground bearing pressures, crane positioning, and obstructions.
    • Establish safe exclusion zones and maintain control of lifting areas at all times.
    • Perform toolbox talks, lifting briefings, and competency checks.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Maintain lifting registers, inspection records, and lifting equipment logs.
    • Report non-conformances, near misses, and incidents in line with HS2 requirements.
    • Provide regular updates to the Logistics Manager and Construction Management teams.
  • Problem Solving & Technical Support
    • Provide expert lifting advice to site teams and subcontractors.
    • Resolve constraints related to access, confined working areas, and heavy plant movements.
  • Multi-Skilled Support (Advantageous)
