Role Description
The Fabricator Welder role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Southampton Area. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, preparing and measuring materials, and carrying out high-quality fabrication and welding tasks to project specifications. The role involves operating workshop equipment, performing basic grinding and cutting processes, and ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The Fabricator Welder will collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet production schedules, conduct inspections of completed work, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. The position may also require contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting other activities as needed, such as mechanical assembly.
Qualifications
- Strong fabrication and welding skills ib MIG solid wire and fluxcore
. Experience
- with TIG is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to produce accurate fabricated components.
- Proficiency in using workshop tools and equipment such as cutting machines and grinders
