Vulcain Engineering UK’s 18-month development programme offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery integration team while receiving hands-on training under the mentorship of one of Vulcain's experienced Production Controllers. Throughout the programme, you’ll gain valuable skills and qualifications, with full support to help you grow and specialise at Vulcain, in areas such as Project Management, Construction Management, Cost Engineering, Commercial Management, Project Controls, and more! In the UK, we are firmly positioned within the nuclear sector, contributing to major infrastructure projects, including the groundbreaking Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear New Build.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a Production controller, you will be responsible for analysing progress reports against the existing work schedules and support corrective actions to minimise impact to the project path. This position will require attendance on site 5 days a week.
  • Working closely with Contract and Client Planning engineers.
  • Identifying trends and deviations from the original plan and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Managing the reference levels against which a project is monitored and controlled.
  • Building and maintaining close working relationships with other disciplines within the organisation, particularly the Area Delivery and Construction Teams.
  • Supporting and coordinating Critical Path resources to meet agreed targets.
  • Utilising Project software tools - P6 outputs, Excel databases/spreadsheets, Power BI, SharePoint, CEMAR, & Mpower.
  • Prepare and support weekly/monthly review and evaluation reports/schedules and flow forecasts for submission to the Delivery Integration team & MEH Alliance.
  • Attend and influence meetings.
  • Identify, apply and evaluate cost control techniques to support the monitoring, managing and reporting of the project.

  • Exceptional analytical skills to effectively track project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential, along with the capacity to provide clear, concise reports and influence technical discussions across multiple disciplines.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and construction processes are desirable, coupled with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Benefits:

  • Salary: Starting – £32,000, After 4 months – £35,000, After 12 months – £38,000
