We are currently looking for an experienced I&C Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth, supporting projects within the life sciences sector. This role will suit an engineer with hands-on experience in control panel/cabinet design, integration, and build, who is comfortable taking systems from concept through to testing and demonstration. You will play a key role in ensuring robust, compliant, and high-quality control solutions are delivered to meet project requirements.
- Review and update engineering documentation including wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical files
- Implement and manage design changes, ensuring alignment with project and compliance requirements
- Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure systems are built and configured correctly
- Participate in or oversee assembly, wiring, and configuration activities where required
- Perform system testing, verification, and validation, demonstrating correct operation
- Identify and resolve issues during integration, build, and testing phases
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with quality standards and regulatory requirements

- Experience in I&C, E&I, or control systems engineering roles
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring, and control system principles
- Hands-on experience with system integration, assembly, or testing
- Background in a regulated industry (e.g. life sciences, pharmaceuticals, nuclear, or similar)
- Reside locally to Portsmouth or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
