The Position:
Vulcain Engineering is recruiting an Offshore Completion Supervisor to support offshore wind turbine completion activities on the landmark UK Offshore Wind project – Dogger Bank. Working at the interface between engineering, quality, and operations, the Offshore Completion Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the offshore completion, punch‑list closure, test run preparation, and Taking Over (TOC) readiness of wind turbine components. This role is well suited to experienced engineers or senior technicians who are comfortable supervising offshore teams and working within strict technical documentation, quality, and completion processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising offshore completion activities for wind turbine systems and components
- Leading and coordinating teams of technicians involved in offshore completion works
- Ensuring all completion activities meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements
- Reviewing and working in accordance with completion documentation, drawings, RAMS, and work instructions
- Verifying compliance, identifying defects, and managing non‑conformances through to closure
- Supporting planning and scheduling activities to ensure equipment, materials, and tooling are ready in line with offshore completion timelines
- Coordinating closely with logistics, engineering, quality, and client teams to resolve technical or operational issues
- Managing completion material and tooling on the SOV deck in support of offshore completion activities
- Supporting Test Run and Taking Over (TOC) activities to enable handover to Customer or O&M
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency across all offshore completion activities
Note: This role involves working on regulated client sites and is subject to client‑mandated drug and alcohol testing.
Preferred Profile:
- Proven experience within offshore wind completion, turbine installation, or offshore wind operations
- Engineering or senior technician background with experience supervising offshore technical teams
- Strong understanding of wind turbine systems, completion processes, defect management, and handover requirements
- Experience working towards TOC, commissioning readiness, or customer handover milestones
- Strong focus on safety, quality assurance, and offshore operational excellence
- Ability to work a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off offshore rotation, including 12-hour shifts
- Valid offshore medical and offshore safety training relevant to offshore wind operations
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
