In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to ground breaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC). Join us in shaping the future of sustainable energy, we are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our dedicated Project Controls team and play a crucial role in ensuring project success through effective risk management.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Risk Manager will include:
- Establish and maintain comprehensive risk registers.
- Ensure all potential risks are identified, documented, and monitored throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, develop, and implement risk mitigation and action plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective execution of mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall Risk Management Strategy and Plan.
- Ensure alignment with project objectives and industry best practices.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis on the Integrated Works Schedule.
- Advise Programme Directors on key risk areas to enable proactive mitigative actions.
- Lead workshops with large groups of Project Managers to capture and assess risks comprehensively.
- Foster a collaborative environment to ensure thorough risk identification.
- Work closely with other Risk Managers across different programmes to avoid risk duplication.
- Ensure a cohesive approach to risk management across all project areas.
Preferred Profile:
- Proven experience as a Risk Manager, in large-scale infrastructure, construction, energy or highly-regulated projects.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools (such as Monte-Carlo) for risk assessment and management.
- Experience in conducting both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
- Excellent organisational and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in risk management.
