The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for coordinating technical clarifications, resolving supplier and client queries, and supporting the engineering process through design, procurement, and delivery phases of the project lifecycle. You will also be responsible for managing risks, technical documents, and ensuring compliance with schedules, costs, and scope requirements.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer will include:
- Be the main point of contact for clients and suppliers on matters related to instrumentation and safety equipment.
- Help manage the relationship with suppliers, ensuring they meet project schedules, specifications, and requirements.
- Assist in reviewing supplier documents, making sure they meet project technical requirements.
- Manage any contract changes and communicate these to the client and supplier.
- Assist with resolving any technical issues or changes that come up during the project.
- Track the manufacturing process of equipment and ensure it is delivered to the site on time, including involvement in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Assist in coordinating the various disciplines involved in electrical design, ensuring seamless integration of Instrumentation systems within the overall plant design.
- Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure that electrical and instrumentation designs are accurately represented in the 3D models and align with system requirements.
- Ensure that all work follows nuclear safety standards and guidelines, especially related to instrumentation and radioprotection equipment.
- Write and review technical documents, reports, and safety reports, ensuring that they are in compliance with project standards.
Preferred Profile:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field.
- Strong interest in nuclear power and 3D design technologies.
- Familiarity with 3D design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while ensuring quality and safety.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools for documentation, design, and reporting.
- Experience with risk management processes and change management in nuclear projects.
- Familiarity with functional safety standards and their application to I&C systems.
