Our offshore wind capability continues to expand rapidly, and we are now seeking experienced offshore professionals to support completion and commissioning activities on a major offshore wind project in the North Sea.

The Position: Offshore Storekeeper (Offshore Wind)

Vulcain Engineering is recruiting Offshore Storekeepers to join an offshore completion team operating from a service operation vessel supporting offshore wind turbine installation and completion activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring that materials, tools, and equipment are correctly managed and available to support safe, efficient offshore operations. The position is suited to experienced offshore storekeepers or offshore wind turbine technicians who are comfortable working in a structured materials and logistics-focused role offshore.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Offshore Storekeeper will include:

  • Managing all offshore storekeeping and inventory control activities on board a service operation vessel
  • Issuing, receiving, and tracking tools, equipment, consumables, and spare parts to support completion and commissioning activities
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records using digital systems and ensuring full material traceability
  • Coordinating with offshore supervisors and technicians to prepare tooling and materials for upcoming shifts and planned works
  • Monitoring equipment condition, calibration status, and certification, including quarantining or removing defective items
  • Liaising with onshore logistics and supply teams to coordinate the receipt, return, and transfer of equipment during port calls
  • Ensuring all storage areas, containers, and hazardous materials are maintained in a clean, safe, and compliant condition
  • Supporting deck operations and equipment handling activities when required to assist offshore operations

This is an excellent opportunity to work offshore on a high-profile offshore wind project while being supported by a global engineering consultancy. Vulcain Engineering offers long-term career development, exposure to complex offshore projects, and the chance to transition or develop within our energy project portfolio. Technicians looking to move into a materials- or storekeeping-focused offshore role are actively encouraged to apply.
