Vulcain Engineering UK are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial and cost leadership on a major nuclear decommissioning programme involving complex, multidisciplinary engineering activities. This role will provide quantity surveying expertise to support cost planning, procurement, and commercial decision-making across complex engineering and decommissioning projects. You will help ensure value for money, robust cost control, and effective commercial governance throughout project delivery.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor will include:
- Analyse project costings and contribute to budget development.
- Manage cost analysis for construction, engineering, and decommissioning work packages.
- Provide commercial guidance on procurement strategy and contract management.
- Support administration of contracts, including variations, compensation events, and valuations.
- Review project risks and support cost impact assessments.
- Produce commercial reports and maintain accurate financial records.

- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Experience supporting large construction or engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of cost planning, estimating, and financial control.
- Knowledge of NEC or similar contract frameworks.
- Ability to analyse data, write reports, and support commercial decisions.
- Experience working in regulated or technical project environments.
