The Civil Engineering Consultant is responsible for carrying out design and analysis engineering support for Energy projects from conception to completion. They are involved in different phases of the projects: from basic design to site design modification.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Civil Engineer will include:

  • Produce building‑specific documentation, including handover reports and hypothesis notes.
  • Manage and follow up building‑specific technical open points as the primary interface for the civil designer.
  • Support the civil building lead in resolving complex or cross‑cutting technical issues.
  • Lead and track resolution of building‑specific technical topics throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Structural analysis software such as Tekla or STAAD Pro.
  • 3D viewer software such as Navisworks and/or PDMS.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design codes, particularly Eurocodes and CDM 2015 knowledge.
  • Projects in high-hazard industries including Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Energy, Heavy process Industry or Bridge.
  • Reside locally to Bristol or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.

Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK.
