In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to ground breaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC). Join us in shaping the future of sustainable energy. Hinkley Point C (HPC) is a pivotal nuclear power project designed to provide low-carbon electricity to millions of homes. We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our dedicated Project Controls team and play a crucial role in ensuring the project's success through effective risk management.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Risk Manager will include:

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive risk registers for the Hinkley Point C programme.
  • Ensure all potential risks are identified, documented, and monitored throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, develop, and implement risk mitigation and action plans.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective execution of mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall Risk Management Strategy and Plan.
  • Ensure alignment with project objectives and industry best practices.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis on the Integrated Works Schedule.
  • Advise Programme Directors on key risk areas to enable proactive mitigative actions.
  • Lead workshops with large groups of Project Managers to capture and assess risks comprehensively.

  • Work closely with other Risk Managers across different programmes to avoid risk duplication.
  • Ensure a cohesive approach to risk management across all project areas.

Preferred Profile:

  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools (such as Monte-Carlo) for risk assessment and management.
  • Experience in conducting both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
  • Excellent organisational and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in risk management.

Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build).
