With operations in 17 countries and employing over 6,000 staff worldwide, our business responds to the needs of our clients by delivering high-value engineering expertise tailored to our clients’ most complex challenges. In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to ground breaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC).

The Position: Project Controls Engineer

Project Controls Engineer will be part of the Integrated Project Controls team within the Safety and Schedule Assurance function, reporting to the Lead Project Controls Engineer. The team acts as a centre of excellence for project controls implementation, providing a single source of delivery performance information. It operates across a matrix organisation supporting various Hinkley Point C project programmes, including Central, Site, Engineering, MEH, Nuclear Island, Conventional Island, Balance of Plant, Instrumentation and Controls, and Commissioning.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Project Controls Engineer will include:

  • Responsible for producing and maintaining accurate forecasts and project controls data aligned with the Cost Breakdown Structure or Work Breakdown Structure
  • Coordinating and producing project control reports, supporting trend and change processes, generating performance indicators, delivering insights for decision-making, and collaborating across project areas
  • The role will use tools such as Primavera P6, EcoSys, ARM, and other project controls software

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects in a high-profile, innovative environment. Exposure to cutting-edge project controls practices and collaboration across diverse engineering and construction areas.

Preferred Profile:

  • Proven experience in Project Controls methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, EcoSys, and ARM

  • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction processes
  • Experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments would be beneficial
  • Reside locally to Bridgwater or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.

Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build).
