We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our in-house legal team. The successful candidate will provide administrative and legal support across a broad range of legal matters, including contract management, corporate governance, compliance, and litigation support. In this role you will be coordinating between department managers and third party companies to operate efficiently and effectively within a fast-paced corporate environment.
As an Legal Assistant at Vuba, you will:
- Assist in preparing, proofread, and format legal documents such as contracts, NDAs, board resolutions, and regulatory filings
- Maintain and manage legal files, databases, and document management systems
- Coordinate contract lifecycle processes, including tracking key dates and renewals
- Assist in compliance monitoring and regulatory filings
- Support internal investigations, audits, and litigation by organising and summarising documents
- Conduct basic legal research and compile findings under attorney supervision
- Liaise with internal departments and external counsel as needed
- Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and handle correspondence for the legal team
- Assist in preparing board materials and minutes
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive legal information
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in Corporate/ Commercial Law
- Knowledge and understanding of current legislation.
- Paralegal certificate or Bachelor qualification in law or equivalent studies
- Excellent orgnaisation and time management skill.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and with all stakeholders.
- Good Attention to detail is essential
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
