Primary Purpose of the Role:
The Architect Specifications Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with architects, landscape architects, designers, contractors, developers and key stakeholders to secure product specifications and project opportunities for both Vuba and SureSet. Working across two leading brands within the resin-bound and permeable surfacing sector, the role will focus on increasing market awareness, driving specification opportunities, supporting project delivery and ensuring both brands are represented throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will act as a technical and commercial ambassador for Vuba and SureSet, influencing product selection at design stage, delivering technical presentations and CPDs, supporting project stakeholders, and managing opportunities through to successful completion. They will play a key role in strengthening the position of SureSet as the UK's most specified permeable surfacing brand whilst accelerating the continued growth of Vuba within the commercial, residential and public realm sectors.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, landscape architects, specifiers, contractors, developers, local authorities and key industry stakeholders.
- Generate and secure specification opportunities for both Vuba and SureSet products across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, public realm and infrastructure projects.
- Promote the capabilities, technical benefits and market-leading position of both brands throughout the construction and landscaping sectors.
- Deliver CPD presentations, technical seminars, product demonstrations and training sessions to design and construction professionals.
- Identify, track and manage projects from concept through to completion, maximising opportunities for specification conversion and product sales.
- Provide technical support and guidance relating to surfacing systems, specifications, compliance requirements and best practice installation methods.
- Support contractors and project stakeholders throughout procurement, installation and completion stages to ensure successful project delivery.
- Work closely with internal sales, technical, marketing and operations teams to maximise project opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate project pipelines and customer activity within CRM systems.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to support business growth.
- Represent Vuba and SureSet at exhibitions, networking events, trade associations and industry functions.
- Support the continued development, growth and integration of both brands within the UK specification and construction markets.

Experience & Knowledge:
- Experience in specification sales, technical sales, business development or construction-related commercial roles.
- Experience working with architects, contractors, developers or construction professionals.
- Experience delivering presentations, training sessions or CPDs.
- Knowledge of construction specifications, NBS systems and project sales processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, project documentation and specifications.
- Understanding of landscaping, surfacing, construction or building products would be advantageous.
- Experience managing projects from specification through to completion would be desirable.
Qualifications:
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Construction, Architecture, Landscaping, Business or a related discipline is desirable.
- Relevant sales, specification or construction industry qualifications are advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
