About the role
As Trade Counter Manager, youll be responsible for running an efficient, friendly and highly organised trade counter that supports builders, installers, merchants, and contractors. Youll lead a small team, ensure customers get the right product at the right time, and drive improvements that make it easier for trade customers to do business with us.
This is not a back-office-only role. Youll be on the counter, shaping the customer experience, coordinating with internal teams, and making sure every customer leaves confidentwhether theyre collecting orders, placing enquiries, or needing quick guidance on suitable surfaces.
What youll be doing
- Lead and develop the teammanage day-to-day performance, coach colleagues, and create a consistently positive trade counter culture.
- Deliver an exceptional trade experiencegreet customers confidently, handle trade enquiries promptly, and build rapport quickly.
- Manage trade counter operationsorder processing, stock checks, picking coordination and maintaining accurate records.
