Turn promising ideas into products people can rely on. As R&D Project Manager at Vuba, you'll lead development projects from early-stage concepts through testing and towards launch, bringing people, priorities and practical thinking together to make progress happen. This is a hands-on, collaborative role for someone who can give structure to ambitious projects without losing sight of the detail. You'll work across teams to explore opportunities, solve technical challenges and help ensure new and improved products meet the needs of customers and the business.
What you'll be doing:
- Plan and manage R&D projects, setting clear objectives, milestones, responsibilities and measures of success.
- Coordinate project activity from initial brief and development through trials, evaluation and handover, keeping work moving at every stage.
- Work closely with colleagues across functions such as product, technical, operations, quality, sales and marketing, making sure the right people have the information they need.
- Organise and monitor product testing, trials and feedback, turning findings into clear actions and practical improvements.
- Track timelines, resources, risks, issues and dependencies, raising concerns early and helping teams agree solutions.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports and documentation, sharing concise updates with stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement by reviewing how projects are delivered and identifying ways to make development more effective.
- Keep customer needs, product performance, quality and commercial considerations in view throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll bring:
- Experience managing projects, ideally within research and development, product development, manufacturing, engineering or a related technical environment.
- A structured approach to planning and delivery, with the confidence to manage several priorities and keep activity on track.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to bring people together and make complex information clear.
- A practical, analytical mindset: you're comfortable reviewing evidence, asking thoughtful questions and turning challenges into workable next steps.
- Good organisation and attention to detail, including confidence maintaining project plans, documentation and progress updates.
- The flexibility to adapt when priorities change, while keeping sight of agreed outcomes and deadlines.
- Experience with product testing, technical documentation or bringing products into production would be useful.
- Just as important is your ability to learn, collaborate and take ownership of delivery.
