Street Cleansing Operative
Leaf Clearance | Bredbury, Stockport | £12.71 + Holiday Pay
VTA Recruitment are currently recruiting Street Cleansing Operatives to join our client, a well-established organisation specialising in street cleansing, environmental and grounds maintenance services across Greater Manchester.
This is a physically demanding outdoor role based in Bredbury, Stockport, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable with manual work and working outdoors throughout the day.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- 06:30am - 2:24pm
- 37 hours per week
Rate of Pay
- £12.71 per hour + holiday pay
Job Role and Responsibilities
- Using backpack leaf blowers to clear leaves and debris from footpaths, roadsides, parks, car parks and other public areas.
- Using hand tools such as rakes, brushes and shovels where required
- Carrying out general street cleansing and leaf clearance duties
- Keeping public areas clean, safe and tidy.
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Following all health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.
Requirements
- Previous experience using backpack leaf blowers is highly desirable
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or similar outdoor work is advantageous.
PPE, equipment and training will be provided.
